Easy Tips for Bird Photography, Landscape Photography and Wildlife Photography
We had the pleasure of going Live with Nikki from Great Parks of Hamilton County sharing some tips for photographing birds and other wildlife around West Fork Lake (aka Winton Lake) from a small pontoon boats you can rent at the boathouse.
Winton Lake Tour
The pontoon boats make a great platform for up to 6 adults to tour the lake and photograph birds like the great egrets, great blue heron, green heron, kingfisher, cormorants and ducks. Watch the Live and check out these photos! Glenn used the Nikon D500 with Nikon 200-500mm lens. I had a Nikon D500 with 70-300 AF-P lens (man that lens focuses quiet and fast, even follows through the trees if you’re lucky! Amazing!) Be sure to follow us at @hartongdigital on Instagram and on Facebook. Feel free to message me with any questions. I shot in Shutter Priority at 1/1600, AUTO ISO, and AF-C tracking focus the entire time, only adjusting exposure compensation for darker or brighter backgrounds. Quick edits in Lightroom Classic.
