For those folks that have come to HDM classes or follow me in Instagram (hartongdigital), you’ve seen a few of the photos I’m taken with my iPhone 4. If you’ve not, you might be shocked at the images that are possible with a smart phone, and not even the latest version (which Glenn has – and the difference really IS significant.)
Olloclip Lens for iPhone: 3 in 1
One of the biggest reasons for the great images from this little phone is the OLLOCLIP. Yes, there are lenses available for your PHONE. Amazing! We don’t know if it will work on the new iPhone5, but it works great on the iPhone4 & iPhone4S.
- Wide Angle
- Fish Eye
- Macro
Favorite Photo Editing App: Snapseed
I don’t get carried away with filters and actions usually. After so long working with Photoshop, there are few plug-ins that “work” for me when weighing costs. Nik is an exception. Their color efex plugins are pretty nice. But their iPhone & iPad photo editing app – SNAPSEED – is my FAVORITE iOS photo app.
I’ll be demo-ing snapseed September 29 at my iPhone Photography Bootcamp workshop, along with Olloclip lenses and tips for Instagram. Snapseed lets you edit so much like photoshop but on a mobile device. LUV THAT!
- vignette with or without blurred & darkened edges
- adjust individual parts of the image for color, brightness, contrast
- adjust image overall for color, contrast, brightness
- add nice frame
- add about 1000 grunge filters, if that’s something you like (i do a few now & then)
- and so much more. For $5 for the app, you really can’t go wrong. Join me for the workshop
Organize & Share Photos on iPad & iPhone
I also use iPhoto on my phone to transfer images to the iPad for easier editing. I really like that it lets me organize photos into albums too. Malinda is co-teaching a new series on iPad for Business as well as Photography – check out MadeEZSeries: iPad Made EZ Workshops
iPhoto will share images to another device with iPhoto open. Remember to enable location services – I’ll show you how in the iPhone photo workshop. We’ll also share tips for panoramic images and much more. Don’t miss it!
